SLAF MI-24 helicopters raids LTTE position - Visuamadukulam
Sri Lanka Air Force MI-24 Helicopter gunships have raided LTTE positions observed northeast of Visuamadukulam last afternoon, 25 January.
Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, speaking to defence.lk said that air sorties were engaged around 4.30 PM to assist the ground troops of 57 Division on final phase of the offensive launched to liberate entire Wanni from terrorists.
The target was engaged accurately, spokesperson added.
